Houston WordPress Community Scholarship

Friends, WordPress Lovers, and Houston Community:

We’ve missed you! Can you believe it’s been 2 years since our last WordCamp? While talk of a next WordCamp Houston are underway, we wanted to tie up the strings of the 2010 event. But we need your help.

While planning for WordCamp 2010, our committee was tasked with deciding on how to use the surplus funds from the event. We¬†unanimously¬†decided that we’d like to award the profiting funds to a high school or college student in the Houston area involved in the WordPress Community. We put a call out for nominees but did not receive a single name. Sad face!

However, we would like to continue to try and award the funds to a deserving student active in the WordPress Community.

To qualify, applicants must:

1.) Live in the Great Houston Metropolitan Area

2.) Be involved in the local, or larger WordPress Community in some capacity

3.) Be enrolled as a high school, or college student
If you, or someone you know, fits this criteria, we invite you to apply via the below link:

We look forward to your applications!

Happy WordPressing!
